Zydeco Breakfast Fundraiser
Join us at the KANC on February 28th from 8:00 -11:00 am for a special Zydeco Breakfast Fundraiser (in lieu of our monthly pancake breakfasts)!
Come enjoy freshly made beignets with a cup of cafe au lait, hot chocolate or tea! This breakfast is by donation, all proceeds going towards our building maintenance fund.
Enjoy your breakfast and then come join us for the second session of sock knitting with Gaby Mann that will also be taking place on February 28th!
Sock Knitting Workshop with Gaby Mann (Session/Part 2!)
Join us at the KANC on Monday, February 16th and learn to knit your own socks with Gaby Mann! This will be a two part workshop with the first session taking place on February 16th at the KANC from 1-3pm. Please bring a snack potluck item to share!
Materials: You will need a set of 5 double pointed knitting needles and yarn that you wish to make into socks (approximately 100g/400y for an adult pair of socks or 50g/200y for a child but amount can vary depending on type of yarn and length/size of sock).
This first session is about getting started and knitting in the round for the bulk of the sock. In the second session we will learn how to ‘turn the heel’. This magical part of turning the knitted tube 90 degrees and into the sock it’s destined to be!
This workshop is by donation with a suggested donation of $10 or pay what you can. No registration is required; just bring yourself, a snack, and some knitting materials!
Writer’s Gathering
The Knowlesville Art & Nature Centre invites you to a free event celebrating the voices of our local writing community.
Beginning at 10:00 AM, we will hear from featured local authors, followed by an open mic session. We welcome writers of all levels to step forward and share their work in an appreciative, supportive setting.
