2024 Jamboree Night: Friday, October 4th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Take part in our Jamboree Night! This is a evening of music, dancing and food to kick-off the annual fair and celebrate rural community life, culture and arts!
2024 Country Fair: Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
This day-long fair is packed full of vendors, games, competitions, food, workshops and more!

Gentle Yoga Asana with Hassan

How to Climb a Tree – Skills and Safety for Kids and Beginner Climbers with Braydon
Focused on basics and beginner level safety. Braydon will coach on what to look for to tell a tree is safe to climb, how to feel confident in a tree, and how to get back down.
Kids and parents welcome.

How to Climb a Tree – Primal Skills for the Wild Human for Intermediate Climbers with Braydon
An experience of living feral, doing things modern humans have unlearned but are now reclaiming and activating their potential for infinite curiosity of the natural world. We try different techniques, grip styles, and footwork for climbing different species of trees in diverse circumstances and weather.
Workshop designed for Teenagers/Adults.

Spinning is the process of drawing out fibers from a mass and twisting them together to form a continuous thread or yarn. Join Gabby for a demonstration on how to spin and get your chance to try out a new skill!

Sourdough Bread Making – Part 1 “Make It” with Tegan
Come join Tegan for Part 1 of making Sourdough Bread. She will demonstrate how to mix, stretch, fold and ferment your bread in this 1 hour workshop. Both part 1 and part 2 workshops can be stand alone. Do one or both.

Outdoor Oven Demonstration – Part 2 “Bake It” with Tegan
Come join Tegan for Part 2 of making Sourdough Bread – “Bake it”. She will demonstrate how to use an outdoor oven by baking the fermented Sourdough Bread from the Part 1 Workshop. Both workshops can be stand alone. Do one or both.

Energy Medicine with Aimee and Nichole
Together, Aimee Cringan and Nichole McGraw, trained through the World Institute for Incurable Diseases will conduct an Energy Medicine workshop. The workshop will include 8 powerful exercises and 3 breathing techniques that will boost your vitality and energy. The meditation will: free you from suffering and struggle, release your mental problems, traumas, loneliness and pains, and help you regain your life and find peace of mind daily.

Come to this hands-on tree identification workshop where you will learn how to tell the difference between various ash tree species and walnut family members

Come try this social dancing that teaches flowing reels, jigs, and the art of barely moving!

Sharing the Vision of the Future Site of Armond School with Tegan (on-site at KANC)
Tegan wants to share our vision for moving the Armond School to the KANC location, where it will become part of The Knowlesville Art & Nature Campus!

Armond School Tour with Tegan (off-site – transportation required to Armond)
A tour will take place in Armond, after the fair is complete. Leaving the KANC location at 4:15pm, you will drive to the Armond school for a tour inside and outside of the Armond School building.

Become a Vendor!
We are now accepting vendor applications! If you or someone you know, is interested in vending please fill out a form and send it to info@knowlesvillenature.ca. We are looking for booth holders, artisans, farmers, crafts persons, food vendors and musicians interested in showcasing their work and skills in a festival celebrating rural life and traditions. Help us make this the best community country fair by coming and taking part.
Vending fee is $30. Children who would like to set up a small table are welcome as well. We encourage children vendors to give 10% of their sales, as an alternative to the vending fee. Informational tables are free (must not be selling products or services).

This Event is Organized By…
Our Country Fair committee is a group of volunteers who are committed to making this event the best it can be. Their support of time, ideas, donations and enthusiasm help to make this event possible. A big thank you to our 2024 committee members: Bobbi Gascoigne, Leland Wong-Daugherty, Tegan Wong-Daugherty, Whisper Gardiner, Hassan Haghani, Julie Clendenning and Sammy Murphy, as well as all of our day of volunteers including our entrance/front-booth, set-up/clean-up and vendor support teams.
Entrance Raffle
Entry to the Fair is by donation. Donations go towards making this event possible and supporting the school and community. Every $5 donation buys you a ticket into our door-prize raffle draw that includes items from some of the vendors, as well as donated prizes from our sponsors! You can find a list of our current Raffle draw prizes above.
This is drawn at the end of the day on Saturday the 5th, and winners will be contacted in the following days to receive their prize.
