Many of our days are spent in the woods, where students are given a chance to develop and deepen their connection with the natural world through projects such as building and cooking over a fire, wood carving, and learning to use wild edible and medicinal plants. We also do handcrafts, play plenty of games, and go on field trips.
Note: If your child is younger than 8, there are opportunities to join weekly on Thursdays with our Early Elementary Program. Contact us for details.
HANDS ON FUN
Activities may include candle dipping, working with wool work, making lanterns, singing, planting, nature walks, exploring, bread baking, stories, building, creating instruments, & watercolour painting…to name a few!
For the 2019-2020 school year, we are offering two semesters. You can sign up for one or both. The fall session includes 8 sessions starting Sept. 13th to Dec 19th. The Winter-Spring term runs Feb 8-May29.
WHAT TO BRING
Each day runs like a full school day, so please pack a healthy lunch. Also, children will need to be dressed for all types of weather and lively outside play as the majority of the day is spent outside. Please be sure to pack extra clothing on wet days and layers, hats, mitts, etc. on colder days.
Cost is $200*/child/term or $400/child for the full year. Each term has 8-9 full day classes. This is not a drop-in program since projects will build upon previous sessions. Full payment schedule details on the 2019-2020-enrichment-registration-form.
*A Sibling discount of 20% off will be applied automatically to multiple children in the same family.
Look forward to seeing you!
